With our biomedical technology partners at Harvard University, we are able to bring a truly unique piece of hearing protection technology to Australia.

Hearing Armor is the result of 7 years of research by the Harvard-based biomedical research group led by Dr. Rick Rogers.

The research was commissioned by the U.S. Office of Naval Research to help them find solutions to reduce their most critical and costly biomedical problem of hearing loss as a result of exposure to dangerous high impact noise during field service and training.

The patented technology was specifically designed to intercept dangerous impact sounds that contribute to hearing loss from gunfire, explosions, construction, hammering, or any sound that produces an instantaneous sound pressure increase, while at the same time allowing safe level noises to pass through unhindered.

Hearing Armor ear plugs also reduce the level of continuous noise often found around machinery, vehicles or other industrial settings.

Both impact sounds and loud continuous noise are dangerous sounds which damage hearing,

but don’t cause pain or blood loss.

However, neurosensory cells in the cochlea are damaged and over time fail to transmit neurosensory signals required to hear.

Fully tested and validated by US Military appointed Michael & Associates Lab, Hearing Armor has the highest noise attenuation capability of any product of its kind in the world. It does not require any manual intervention to adjust the level of protection. There are no wires and no batteries required.
