Australia is the driest continent on earth and prone to wildfires every year.

The past year has seen Australia experience its worst wildfires in history. Additionally, firefighters dealing with household fires have to combat a much quicker “flash rate” due to the amount of plastics and petroleum-based materials in homes these days (furniture, appliances, mattresses, building materials, etc).

Our modern world of mobile phones and electric vehicle technology is powered by lithium ion batteries which present a whole new generation of problems when it comes to ignition of fires. Current methods of fire extinguishing cannot put out a lithium ion battery fire.

A new molecular-level approach to combating fire was developed by one of our US-based technology partners.

This new technology features a patented and naturally derived “spherical-micelle” compound to change the molecular structure of water molecules and trap the carbon molecules (i.e. fuel) so they cannot continue to burn.

Unlike the current array of foam-based technology which is highly toxic, this naturally-derived product is completely safe and non-toxic. It presents no health issues for firefighters and no damaging environmental effects.

We now have a whole new class of fire-fighting technology to dramatically improve the way we approach fighting fires in Australia.

It is important to note, this is the only fire remediation technology in the world that can put out a lithium ion battery fire and is specified by all Tesla production factories worldwide.
